Dental hygiene academic software useful in student education

May 16th, 2014

One of the many advantages of dental hygiene academic software is that it  prepares students for clinical practice. This is because educators can accurately track progress against the established course curriculum, leaving program participants adequately prepared to assess and treat a number of different oral health issues they will encounter in their professional careers.

In Tennessee, three first-year dental hygiene students placed second in a table clinic competition sponsored by the Tennessee Dental Hygiene Association, according to Oak Ridge Today, a local news publication. The students all attended Roane State Community College, and their research focused on the ways oral bacteria can be transferred to a child from parents or other individuals responsible for care. This transference could potentially lead to tooth decay.

It was the first time that the community college participated in the competition that also featured six other programs located throughout the state.

Dental hygiene academic software can make it easier for administrators to identify standout students to participate in these kinds of events. Qualifying factors can include overall program averages and test scores. This is just one of the many dental academic software can benefit an oral hygiene program.
