Built with the flexibility to accommodate your ever-changing organization, axiUm adapts to your needs by growing and conforming to a multitude of scenarios. It doesn’t impose limits on the number of locations or providers and is scalable. In addition, by interfacing or integrating with Hospital Information Systems and Digital Imaging Systems, axiUm is flexible enough to work with your existing or future systems.
Hospital Information Systems Interface
axiUm links to a variety of Hospital Information Systems (HIS) using customized HL7 interfaces. This functionality enables you to prevent the need for redundant data entry, by allowing you to easily import and export patient demographics along with encounter summary notes and appointment scheduling details. Overall, the integration possibilities with axiUm HL7 interfaces are endless and can be customized to suit your needs.
Digital Imaging Integration
Using a simple bridge interface or an Image Viewer integration, axiUm will work with a variety of Digital Imaging Systems (DIS).
With a simple bridge interface, axiUm links to the DIS and passes basic patient information to the system. Within axiUm you simply click on an icon to open the DIS and the patient’s record is instantly retrieved in the DIS, displaying previously captured images. If the patient has not been registered, axiUm will automatically add their information (thus preventing dual entry). With the bridge interface, the DIS operates much like a module of axiUm.
Bridge interfaces have been built for the following digital imaging packages:
- ImageFX (SciCan)
- Instrumentarium (Apteryx)
- PlanMeca (Dimaxis)
- Schick CDR
- Sidexis (Siemens)
- Soredex Digora
- Trophy (Kodak)
The Image Viewer interface allows axiUm to read digital images from the DIS database and displays them in axiUm’s Electronic Health Record’s (EHR) Imaging tab. There is no duplication of storage, as the data resides only in the DIS database. This level of integration allows you to view images from your DIS without installing the DIS software on each workstation. It also brings all of your diagnostic information into axiUm’s EHR module.
